I have checked EVERY section of the menu in Cinnamon, including the "All applications" section. There is no mention of xt7-player. the command does work, as does smplayer, and xt7-player-git works as well.

With kde i can see it under multimedia.
Anyway, the categories from the .desktop file are:
Categories=Qt;AudioVideo;Player;Video;
Please, check in that places.

As i side note: does smplayer displays in your menu? i'm asking because it provides a .desktop file similar to the one provided by xt7.

Does launching xt7-player from the terminal work?

I've installed this and see no entry in my menu. I am using Cinnamon at the moment.

when i try to install with packer i get

Removed gambas3-gb-gui because now it conflicts with gambas3-runtime in the new [extra] PKGBUILDS.

ok, i will give you my experiment,,,

before i had installed xt7-player, there was some config leave there on your home directory...
then i remove xt7-player 2.9.1019 version,to 1028 version...
got crashed "segmentation fault"
so i remove the left config on my home, xt7-payer run flawlessly...
then when i close and run it again, xt7 crashed "segmentation fault"

then, it solved when i add some optional like, "-h" "-a" like that...
do you need any debug log again?

I tried without configuration on a virgin ubuntu 64bit system and it didn't crashed.
I still think this is somehow related to dbus, so in this version i made dbus disabled by default.
dbus support is still available by a gui option.

i got segmentation fault when this xt7-player dont have config in
~/.config/gambas3/xt7-player/
but after i copy back my previous configuration to the directory again, it works well...
it like can't read configuration then closed...

i don't know what happen, now this applications dont crashed anymore...

What's your desktop environment?
Are you using a 64bit system?

could you please add or change the entry "Categories=Graphics" for "Categories=AudioVideo"
on "/usr/share/applications/xt7-player.desktop" so we can have it on Sound & video.

lecous: My fault, there was a typo in the PKGBUILD

I am not sure if it is yaourt or something wrong with the pkgbuild, but it still does not install gambas3-devel on its own as a dependency.

@kokoko3k that was the missing link, now work exelent thanks.

Updated to 0.9.217 and corrected dependancies.
It should work flawlessly now.

Meantime, can you please:
pacman -Sy gambas3-gb-form-stock

And if it still doesn't work, you can try the entire gambas3 group:
pacman -Sy gambas3
