For "fun" I tried to update this for the last 14.x release (14.4.1) but couldn't resolve all the problems. However, the 15.x package (rebranded as "XTC tools") is much simpler : they have completely removed the IDE portion, thereby eliminating the worst problems.

I have pushed my PKGBUILD here, https://github.com/fenugrec/aur_xtimecomposer

@will.price94 , feel free to merge my changes into this repo.

14.2.1 is available. I used your symlink trick to get the fonts working with that version. After that it still crashed shortly after start with the following line on stdout: GLib-GObject:ERROR:gobject.c:4284:g_weak_ref_set: assertion failed: (weak_locations != NULL) I used the workaround from here: https://www.xcore.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=3659&view=previous Now the browser windows inside eclipse are blank. This is far from perfect. But it does no longer crash. And the browser windows are not that valuable, I think all the information is also available as PDFs. It would be great if anyone could find a better solution.
