I tried to update the PKGBUILD to adhere to the guidelines from the wiki. Could you check whether it is OK like this?

This pkgbuild is not ok, git is missing from makedepends and this is not an 'any' arch= package.
The package is a VCS one, however it is missing a pkgver() function https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/VCS_package_guidelines#Git, you are faking a stable version and cherry picking a commit in build()
VCS pkgbuild don't cherry picking commits (for fixed release pkgbuilds is done in source() anyway)
