Thanks for providing this package. The heanet mirror for sourceforge is offline (for good, i think). Can you fix this? I tried finding a new reliable link, but there is too much redirecting stuff happening. Thanks!

It's not possible to extract the Tar-Archive, nor in Nautilus nor by manually doing tar -zxf xzgv.tag.gz

This package do not compile (07 January 2012) any more. See errors below. I have fixed the problem by applying the xzgv-0.9.1-iconify.patch patch from Suse ( https://build.opensuse.org/package/files?package=xzgv&project=X11%3AUtilities ) AND by export LDFLAGS='-lm' in the PKGBUILD ---------------------- me.o resizepic.o dither.o rcfile.o misc.o getopt.o getopt1.o backend.o /usr/bin/ld: /usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.6.2/../../../libcairo.so: undefined reference to symbol 'XScreenNumberOfScreen' /usr/bin/ld: note: 'XScreenNumberOfScreen' is defined in DSO /usr/lib/libX11.so.6 so try adding it to the linker command line /usr/lib/libX11.so.6: could not read symbols: Invalid operation collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[1]: *** [xzgv] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/oesser/test/xzgv/src/xzgv-0.9.1/src' make: *** [xzgv] Error 2

The package fixed, and a desktop file added.

So provide one, this package has no maintainer.

I have the same problem like @olive. By the way there is no xzgv.desktop file (http://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/latest/). It would be nice to provide some (at least some basic one), because the original author does not react on bugs posted on sourceforge.

This package do not build. It fails with tons of errors like this:
gcc -Wl,--hash-style=gnu -Wl,--as-needed `pkg-config --libs gtk+-2.0` `pkg-config --libs gdk-pixbuf-2.0` -o xzgv main.o filedetails.o gotodir.o updatetn.o confirm.o help.o copymove.o rename.o resizepic.o dither.o rcfile.o misc.o getopt.o getopt1.o backend.o main.o: In function `cb_quit': main.c:(.text+0x2d7): undefined reference to `gtk_main_quit' main.o: In function `view_focus_row_file': main.c:(.text+0x31b): undefined reference to `gtk_clist_get_type' main.c:(.text+0x32e): undefined reference to `g_type_check_instance_cast'
However this package builds if we void the environment variables relatives to the compilation set by makepkg:
md5sums=('d6452ebd4911d986fa1176086afb6e33' '5578f2d2521f060fec127cc07f69b578') unset CFLAGS unset CXXFLAGS unset LDFLAGS unset MAKEFLAGS build() { cd ${srcdir}/${pkgname}-${pkgver} patch -Np1 -i $srcdir/xzgv-infoinstall.patch make || { echo "erruureerre" ; exit 1 ; } }
I am not sure of the exact cause of the error.
