Is there a way to fix this compilation error or is it just on my system? I have a fresh CachyOS system. Not much altered/installed at this moment.

Or is it not nesessary anymore and therefore unmaintained?

Hey,

thanks for your package!

There are some issues with your package:

  • You download the latest version from git. So, your package's name must end with -git. Please rename, and add yakuake-sessions to the provides and conflicts array.
  • Your current pkgver() seems to return a git commit hash. This is not good, since $pkgver needs to be strongly monotoneously increasing by each commit. Please fix that, by making the $pkgver start with something strongly monotoneously increasing, like (optional, if present, some official upstream version number and) git commit count. This will be a major change in versioning scheme, you need to increment $epoch as well then (i.e., in your case, set it to 1).

This build is failing with: Cloning into 'yakuake-sessions'... fatal: unable to connect to github.com: github.com[0: 140.82.113.4]: errno=Connection timed out

I've checked my end and other packages are building just fine. I've also checked with the author via github, and he is seeing no problem.

QtWidgets/QApplication is qt5, but PKGBUILD for qt4 I'm changed in PKGBUILD: depends=('qt4') => depends=('qt5-base') qmake-qt4 => qmake-qt5
