yaourt is not being developed actively, I would recommend you to switch to another AUR helper. yaourt also does not support stuff like splitted packages, which is really annoying so I switched to aurman.

Would be really nice if people knew about the difference between upstream and the packaging platform and who is responsible for what.

This package cannot be updated as long as there is no new upstream version. If you need an up to date yaourt, why not change to yaourt-git?

Would be really nice if the comments issue discussed below could be resolved in this package. Waiting for more than 3 months for an already solved issue is really annoying. What's the problem publishing a bug fix release?

I am using yaourt, not yaourt-git, and I see that you are right. Sorry about that, I guess the next version of yaourt will include this commit and hence be fixed. However, depending on how long until its release, maybe a patch should still be made in the meantime. I tend to rely on those comments, and this issue is an annoyance, possibly for others as well.

@joe1984 Are you using yaourt or yaourt-git? The first doesn't have the commit you mentioned; if you're using the latter, why are you commenting here and not on the yaourt-git package?

Most of the comments that usually show up when installing a package aren't showing up. This appears to be due to this commit in December ( Reverting this commit by changing the file src/lib/ seems to have fixed the problem. I guess a patch file could be made.
