A new nativefier based application has been pushed with the name youtubemusic-nativefier. You could switch for that too.

@thisischrys if your DE doesn't let you edit applications, I would suggest you to clone the package and change the icon png file to what you want it to be. Change the md5sum in PKGBUILD. Then proceed with makepkg -si. If you're not comfortable with qtws, you could simply use nodejs nativefier to create a local application. If you have a good suggestion for an icon though, share it with me and I might consider changing the icon. I'm planning on changing this package from qtws to a nativefier myself. But hey... it still works right! But then, as you might already know, this is the correct icon for YouTube Music.

I've started using this and youtube-desktop because I like having seperate icons in my launcher for some stuff.

In Plasma they both share icons when they're running. Would there be any way of avoiding this? I know nothing of qtws.

this is something I've been looking for a simple window/app for Youtube Music Player, good idea I support.
