Hello all. Thank you for your messages that notify me of things to handle. I won’t do additional YsFlight packages, as I don’t even use that one myself any more. If someone is willing to become maintainer of YsFlight for different recommended/stable/test packages, I’ll gladly transfer maintainership :-)

The source file "YsflightForLinux.zip" has been renamed in the source URL as "YsflightForMacAndLinux.zip". When you open the source URL https://forum.ysfhq.com/download/file.php?id=499 that is offered from to be downloaded.

I tried as well build from the git source, and it gave errors. I don't know is it proper to be making a git version, as the recommended version is the 2015 one.

The page itself show it:

Latest stable release: 20181124 Recommended release (for multiplayer and addon compatibility): 20150425

So I think if something, there could be three different AUR versions for this game:

1) The recommended (2015). 2) The latest stable (2018, this one AFAIK). 3) GIT version for the latest development version.

Just a note that the source code has been released on github in 2022: https://github.com/captainys/YSFLIGHT

So it's possible to built from source now. Maybe we need a ysflight-git package. But I'm not aware what the differences are, I just learned about this flight simulator and searched online for it, but didn't even start playing yet.

Thanks for updating! 20130805 has a new version of the executable, "ysflight2", that uses OpenGL 2. Another /usr/bin script that calls it is in order, and perhaps one for "ysflight-consvr" (the network multiplayer server) is too.

Version 20130805 is out; would you please update the PKGBUILD? I confirm that version 20120701-2 of your PKGBUILD works fine on i686. Also, about namcap, all you have to do is install it and then run "namcap something.pkg.tar.xz". See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Namcap too.

I did not find how to “run namcap on the binary package”. Anyway, using pactree, I could trim the dependencies to a list much like that of gborzi :-) It should be better this way. I hope…
