Yeah, ytarchive is dead until further notice. I don't have the drive to deal with nsig calculations, even leveraging yt-dlp's scripts for it.

Versioning scheme was changed to reference modification date of the binary.

The update process for this package is a result of Kethsar removing version tags, per the github issue from an earlier comment. This package used to link to specific releases prior to that incident, but I don't think it makes sense for this package as he has pretty much been treating the latest tag as a marker for a stable release for the past few years.

(also I've typically updated this on the day of a new release. just forgot about it this time around.)

I think the proper way to do the PKGBUILD is to link to the specific release unless it is a VCS version like ytarchive-git.

Right now this PKGBUILD fails with a bad checksum because it downloads a pre-release instead of the correct version. Hope you can fix it soon.

Kethsar released this as 0.4.0, so the package follows that version number (notice that the abbreviated commit hash is the same): https://github.com/Kethsar/ytarchive/releases/tag/v0.4.0

It was fixed after release but the latest tag has yet to be updated to include it.

ytarchive is reporting an old version number not in line with the package.
