Please don't use pip for the installation. It shouldn't be executed especially inside the package() function.

joaquinito2051 flagged yum-metadata-parser out-of-date on 2021-06-28 for the > following reason:

Yum obsoleted.

Yum still works fine. Please do not flag this package out of date just because you don't want to use it.

Not sure what happened to this package; it was on git but not on the AUR. It's a depedency of yumbootstrap so I reuploaded it and bumped the pkver.
