I would suggest/request this package base be renamed zedapp instead of zed. There are two text editors in the wild named zed (this from zedapp.org and zed from zed.dev), and it is going to be confusing tracking which is which. Naming this package the way the zedapp one has done both for their domain name and github org is probably the best way to make it clear which one this is.

Hi, dependencies might need an update. 'node-webkit' not found by yaourt, I've installed nwjs-bin instead, which provides the required packages.

Seems you're right, it works fine without ttf-ms-fonts on my other machine. Very strange.. Well, package updated. Thanks!

Hmm, mine starts fine without it (new user with default config). Also, I can't find any dependency on it in the code. Maybe there is some bug that does that, or maybe there was but it was fixed.

On my machine, Zed refuses to start without ttf-ms-fonts, presumably because they use a font only included there by default. While you could override this with a config change, it is better that the application starts correctly with the default config.

Why does Zed require the ms fonts?
