This failed validation checks.

==> Validating source files with b2sums...
    darkreader.git ... FAILED
==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!

I commented out the source, b2sums, makedepends lines similar to your zen-browser-ublock-origin package and it worked fine. That approach seems pretty good to me since it's only symlinking to the firefox-dark-reader package files.
