@moudah7 You should know that this package compiles from source - this can take somewhere between 3-6 hours depending on your hardware. Traditionally people would prefer the faster install times of zen-browser-bin as it just installs the upstream binaries.
Unless you are sure you would prefer to use this self compiling package, you're probably more interested in the -bin version.
As for maliciousness - neither zen-browser nor zen-browser-bin have suspicious code in their installation scripts - and both trust upstream to not do anything nefarious - it would be akin to installing directly from their official download channels.

I am a new user of archlinux and this is the first package I am going to install since I was previously using it on Ubuntu. I've read the archwiki tutorial on how to install packages from the AUR but there are a lot of things I don't understand such where do I get the validpgpkeys from and how to check if I am dealing with a malicious package. Can someone please help me?

@match0x0: It's pulling in a newer version of
surferthat expects atestsdirectory to exist. It's been fixed in the latest zen-browser dev branch, but in the meantime I was able to work around it with this change to the PKGBUILD:match0x0 commented on 2025-03-13 10:10 (UTC) (edited on 2025-03-13 10:10 (UTC) by match0x0)

Why is it necessary to build the whole browser app for a language pack?
