@thunderforce, the packages were out of date. You should be good to go now.

while following this wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Installing_Arch_Linux_on_ZFS#Notes_before_installation I get stuck here: pacman -S gnupg vim archzfs warning: gnupg-2.0.20-2 is up to date -- reinstalling :: There are 4 members in group archzfs: :: Repository demz-repo-core 1) spl 2) spl-utils 3) zfs 4) zfs-utils Enter a selection (default=all): resolving dependencies... warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "spl-utils" warning: cannot resolve "spl-utils=0.6.1_3.9.4-2", a dependency of "spl" warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "spl" warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "spl-utils" warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "spl-utils" warning: cannot resolve "spl-utils=0.6.1_3.9.4-2", a dependency of "spl" warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "spl" warning: cannot resolve "spl=0.6.1_3.9.4-2", a dependency of "zfs" warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "spl-utils" warning: cannot resolve "spl-utils=0.6.1_3.9.4-2", a dependency of "spl" warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "spl" warning: cannot resolve "spl=0.6.1_3.9.4-2", a dependency of "zfs-utils" warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "zfs-utils" warning: cannot resolve "zfs-utils=0.6.1_3.9.4-2", a dependency of "zfs" warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "zfs" warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "spl-utils" warning: cannot resolve "spl-utils=0.6.1_3.9.4-2", a dependency of "spl" warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "spl" warning: cannot resolve "spl=0.6.1_3.9.4-2", a dependency of "zfs-utils" warning: cannot resolve "linux=3.9.4-1", a dependency of "zfs-utils" :: The following packages cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies: spl spl-utils zfs zfs-utils :: Do you want to skip the above packages for this upgrade? [y/N] Do I have to update to an updated zfs package (kernel 3.9.5-1) or what should I do?

Marked out-of-date as the zfs-utils and spl-utils packages leave files in /usr/sbin. To fix I changed the PKGBUILD configure --sbindir line to /usr/bin in both packages. In zfs-utils I patched the Makefile in /src/zfs-0.6.1/cmd/mount_zfs after calling configure.

Same here: no objections.

no objections here. using zfs with testing repo sounds like a recipe for disaster.

demizer commented on 2013-05-28 16:10 (UTC)

Hey all, the packages have been update. Thanks for the notifications. I'm thinking about dropping the testing repo. No one uses it and I don't keep up with it that often. Anyone have any objections?

Ahhh... here is the problem. In one computer I set correctly the core repo, instead in the other I set the archiso. Thanks a lot. Still there is a kernel version dump, 3.9.4-1. Flagging out of date.
