@ezzetabi, that is correct. The archiso repo only tracks the latest archiso release. According to https://www.archlinux.org/download/, that is kernel 3.8.10.

The package here is fine, but the repo still has zfs 0.6.1_3.8.10-1. http://demizerone.com/demz-repo-archiso/x86_64/

@demizer solved it: i ran "depmod" once, and then "modprobe zfs" works fine

@cinch, I have no clue why it is not working. All I can tell you is that I think ZOL is meant to be used with a vanilla kernel. I would recommend you go check the github issue tracker to see if there are issues with ZOL and custom kernels.
