Their used to be all sorts of hacks, and the SH script works...can we not integrate this into the build scripts? Is it against the rules or?

@webdawg, as @Myrik93 mentioned below on 2018-10-31, there is no longer a direct download link available. That's the reason why we need to manually do it.

So I know that archlinux has changed the way packages are built/etc, but can you help me understand why I have to manually download the file/sh the script?

I am not complaining, and I think I know the answer, but I am going to try and talk to some people about a solution for stuff like this.

Download the file manually using zoipdl.sh. I changed the PKGBUILD so it just works and installs just fine. https://pastebin.com/vx3LMf33

zoiper requires some hand work downloading the files.
