If people are having issues, try building with extra-x86_64-build in a clean chroot.

@agkphysics My apologies! I just found out that textmaker don't support zotero 7 yet and it's better not to update until they fix it. They have an english and a german support forum and they hide this info within a german thread where no one can find it. sorry

@no_gafam The LibreOffice plugin should be located at /usr/lib/zotero/integration/libreoffice/Zotero_LibreOffice_Integration.oxt. I have not used textmaker and so cannot help you there.

If anyone runs into the following error, the solution is to run git lfs uninstall to remove the git lfs filters from the global ~/.gitconfig.

Error downloading object: app/linux/updater.tar.xz (d7e9c81): Smudge error: Error downloading app/linux/updater.tar.xz ...

latest update 7.0.0-1 messed up compatibility with textmaker nx. it does not even come with the necessary "libreoffice integration" plug in like the old version 6.0.37. I still haven't figured out how to fix this and get zotero working with textmaker nx again.

Hello! Please add git-lfs to makedepends, without it build failed for me with:

==> Extracting sources...
  -> Creating working copy of zotero-client git repo...
Cloning into 'zotero-client'...
done.
git-lfs filter-process: line 1: git-lfs: command not found
fatal: the remote end hung up unexpectedly
warning: Clone succeeded, but checkout failed.
You can inspect what was checked out with 'git status'
and retry with 'git restore --source=HEAD :/'

==> ERROR: Failure while creating working copy of zotero-client git repo

@leonardof

Yo! This worked! I was also having problems with other programs and this seems to have helped. Thanks!

Update 4/1/2024: Somehow broke; not sure how. The problem has returned.

@avantbored, perhaps this will help:

Thanks for the update.

Installed on Gnome 46 on EOS and getting many weird GUI issues. Clicking through window shows desktop or other windows beneath Zotero; can't click into annotator or notes. Any other issues?

@pierre.fr34 thanks, that fixed it!
