Could you add a .desktop file for the game? You can use gendesk for creating it easily based on PKGBUILD info, and you need to package an icon and put it in /usr/share/pixmaps, it seems there are icons in the archive used as source in build/icons.

sdl_image changelog: 1.2.12: * Fixed regression in 1.2.11 loading 8-bit PNG images with libpng So either downgrade to 1.2.10, wait for the update of the archlinux package, download the source and compile it yourself ;)

You're right, downgrading sdl_image fixed problems. Waiting for them to fix the problem, maybe you should change dependencies so that it specifically ask for 1.2.10 version of sdl_image.

Looks like a bug with the sdl_image upgrade. I've signaled it upstream, thanks for the report.
