As @rogeriotds and others have noted, driver for this card is available in-kernel as of 6.2

Created https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/8188fu-supremegamers-dkms-git for the other fork. Sounds like this is the only option for 6.0 and 6.1 kernels at the moment

Reminder: I am not the driver developer.

For issues with the driver compilation, installation or anything related to the packaging, please leave a comment here and I will do my best to fix it.

For kernel versions >= 6 and < 6.2, please use package 8188fu-supremegamers-dkms-git. For versions >= 6.2, in-kernel drivers are available.

puspam-adak perhaps you check /var/cache/pacman/pkg for a pre 6.x kernel and roll it back with pacman -U before 6.2 is available stable

I'm using kernel version 6.2, which is already in arch's test repository, and the 8188fu driver is already included in it, in the rtl8xxxu module. Just a note below: The module doesn't load itself with systemd, so you'll have to enable it using modprobe or, what I think is better, add it to systemd's autoload, using: "/etc/modules-load.d/rtl8xxxu .conf". As explained here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Kernel_module The drive is much faster, no crashes, nothing. Very good!

@puspam-adak Please see the pinned comments. Last time I checked, this package did not work for 6+ kernels. There is a suggestion in the comments for another package which does work for 6+ kernels

I stay on the LTS kernel. Recently, the LTS kernel got updated to 6.12 and my wifi card isn't working. I tried to reinstall this driver, but it says:
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 6.1.12-1-lts (x86_64) Consult /var/lib/dkms/8188fu/r115.751882b/build/make.log for more information. error: command failed to execute correctly

@dennismwangi this package does not work for 6+ kernels. Please read pinned comments which suggest the supremegamers fork.
