Mostly they just mislabeled it.

Is there a source you can refer to where Staff explicitly writes they mislabeled a release? Because the changelog you link to explicitly marks all releases after production beta or RC.

For your convenience, there's now an AUR package named airvpn-suite-beta-bin. I will keep it updated with every binary release Staff publishes. You can safely track that with your AUR helper.

I wont use it, since 1.0.0 was the FIRST airvpnsuite which got released. Mostly they just mislabeled it.

Take a watch of the offical release notes ;)

First, the forums post you yourself linked to refers to "airvpn-suite-110-beta", ergo, there is such a thing as a stable and a beta release and I think we should separate them. You don't see Arch maintainers pushing RC versions to stable packages now, do you? Classic example would be the Linux kernel. There is no package tracking 5.12 RC releases in the official repos, but there is one tracking them with -mainline- in its name. This is the separation I'm aiming at.

Then there is the git repository with the only release there being 1.0.0. As Staff wrote in the past, they publish the code of all their software only after official release, so in my eyes it's not the latest stable.

Third, if I change this package to 1.1-rcX, I need to also track the same on the from-source airvpn-suite package for the sake of consistency, but this is impossible since the codebase for 1.1 is not yet public, as written above.

Now i found what you mean, but i wouldnt use the old airvpn suite. Take the RC3 and thats its. There is too much differnet regarding bugs and so on.

Then don't use it, simple as that. I will shortly create a separate package tracking published binary versions as they go; you may track that with your AUR helper, then. Hope this helps. :)

There is no stable release! This was one of the first releases. This is the latest release and there is not "beta" release lol

Version 1.1.0 RC 3 - 16 April 2021

[ProMIND] Updated to OpenVPN 3.7 AirVPN [ProMIND] vpnclient.hpp: avoid netFilter setup in case NetFilter object is not private [ProMIND] dbusconnector.cpp: fine tuned D-Bus wait cycle in R/W dispatch. Implemented a thread safe wait in order to avoid D-Bus timeout policy

Now i found what you mean, but i wouldnt use the old airvpn suite. Take the RC3 and thats its. There is too much differnet regarding bugs and so on.

That's right, this is the stable release. I should probably mention it in the description.

I'm thinking about offering a -beta-bin package, too, if that helps folks in any way.

I dont know if i am wrong but is your source the stable release or what? I think you download the first version of the AIRVPN SUITE.

They just released 3 newer versions than yours. Take this as source:
