Sorry, the original patch needed to be updated and I wasn't qualified on my fork. I saw that the original author had updated but I wasn't available to rebase. I've updated the pkgbuild to use ayosec's fork, hope that works for you.

Is this fork outdated? It cannot start on sway 1.19. Active fork is https://github.com/ayosec/alacritty.

so found a bug with either this or the tmux-sixel-git package where they do not work together meaning you can only get sixel images in alacritty when not running tmux-sixel... dunno if this is gonna be fixed or not but just thought shadow would let you know....

Just an update, this package is out of sync with upstream alacritty, due to fairly major changes to how it parses escape sequences that will require significant work on the sixel PR. I don't personally have the expertise, so I'm hoping the PR gets updated at some point or we'll be stuck with an out of date alacritty.

I'm not really up to taking the repo, but I'm happy to take care of the PKGBUILD. From the PR it sounds like the feature will be merging soon, so hopefully alacritty-git will supersede this fork soon.

Did you want someone to take over just the PKGBUILD or the fork as well? I'm willing to do basic support for a PKGBUILD that simply applies this PR, which I think amounts to adding

prepare() {
  cd "$_pkgname"
  GIT_COMMITTER_EMAIL="user@mail.com" git pull -X theirs origin pull/4763/head --no-edit
}

to alacritty-git's PKGBUILD

This package is broken. please fix. seems like some name has changed

.cache/paru/clone/alacritty-sixel-git/src/alacritty/extra/linux/org.alacritty.Alacritty.appdata.xml

and

cp org.alacritty.Alacritty.appdata.xml io.alacritty.Alacritty.appdata.xml

inside that directory and running makepkg -R so only re-builds the package seems to work. please fix this the right way?
