Maybe also need to "provide" and/or "conflict" with amdctl package.

.SRCINFO seems to have duplicate entries and needs to be cleaned up.

how could I update the package if it's get updated at GitHub?

For VCS you rebuild the package when you want, note that is not welcome bumping a VCS package for every commit

I will think about, how to integrate the version number into the package. I really would like to have it there. Otherwise, how could I update the package if it's get updated at GitHub?

This is a fixed release pkgbuild, not a VCS one, and it has never been a proper VCS pkgbuild since earlier is used https://github.com/kevinlekiller/amdctl/archive/master.zip as source
