It's working with no issues on Manjaro Arm64, wonder what the issue is

You probably don't want to report this stuff there, this package is pretty much dead without anyone being interested at maintaining it.

I cannot get this to work properly somehow; keep getting systemd-coredump[20428]: [🡕] Process 20415 (argononed) of user 0 dumped core. with systemd status giving me

argononed.service: Main process exited, code=dumped, status=6/ABRT
argononed.service: Failed with result 'core-dump'.
argononed.service: Scheduled restart job, restart counter is at 19.
Stopped Argon One Fan and Button Daemon Service.
Starting Argon One Fan and Button Daemon Service...
argononed.service: Can't open PID file /run/argononed.pid (yet?) after start: No such file or directory

and the /var/log/argononed.log showing the following cycle:

@DarkElevenAngel yeah, package is orphaned, anyone can take it as I'm not interested much in testing and maintaining ARM/RPi4-specific software (that's how AUR works, I guess – there's no repo owners, only maintainers). You can add me as co-maintainer if you need any help, but be aware I both don't want and might not be able to invest much time into it.

A helpful answer led me to yay, which solved all my issues. Much much simpler than pacman.

Hi - in aarch64 I cannot load this via pacman - no package found!

So I git-cloned and now cannot ./configure.

Am I missing something v obvious?

Ok @kwirkie, I edited my message, I guess I was wrong about it, but I still test it in practice to see what is going on for now and what consequences are of that change... IDK if there's any reason for that, but the maintainer of the official project also installs it to /etc directory, I guess you should contact him as well...

  • /usr/lib/systemd/system/: units provided by installed packages
  • /etc/systemd/system/: units installed by the system administrator

This allows admins to easily override the version provided in the package (although drop-in files are usually a preferred way).
