Please consider the following:

Adding the text "Ascii Sector" somewhere (probably in the description), so that you can find the package by searching for "Ascii Sector". (I had to use google instead of AUR's built in search function)

Adding sdl2_image as a dependency.

./asciisec: error while loading shared libraries: libSDL2_image-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Here is a patch

Doesn't work for me: An unhandled exception occurred at $000000000042A495 : EInOutError : Access denied $000000000042A495 $000000000042BF3B $000000000042BF6E $000000000049F042 $0000000000430DC5 $0000000000432332 $00000000004043AA $0000000000404C4E But the version from the official website works.

Seems the depends has changed to sdl2_mixer, had to install it before it would run.

Paths and filenames for downloads have all changed. For example, the download link on the site now points to: http://www.laserbrainstudios.com/download.php?name=asciiseclinux32

The bug mentioned by vladimir1922 seems to occur because the data/options.txt file is created without content during the install process. While I think the end is computer specific, writing the following (default stuff, I don't think it's compter specific) into it seems to work while automatically generating the computer specific bit. If you change the last 'F' to 'T' it runs in full screen mode: 6 3 6 5 5 40 24 F T F I was also wondering if there is a reason why "/usr/share/asciisec/asciisec" is not installed with "-m 2755 -g games" (without the quotes) to allow one to play without being in the games group, and why "/usr/share/asciisec/log.txt" and "/usr/share/asciisec/data/options.txt" aren't removed in pre_remove() in the .install script.

This package gives a bug that doesn't affect you if you directly download the game from the website (even if it is the same version): When piloting your spaceship, this bugged version won't keep the ship centred on screen, so it becomes near impossible to control it as it will just fly away from the viewable area.
