@TheGoliath This package does not update to and build the latest HEAD, hence it should not be -git as it is not a VCS package. Lots of packages use git as a transport instead of curl <tarball>, that doesn't make them VCS packages.

No, this is a revision-based normal package, not a git package.

Well, I use it myself, and so far it seems it works with 17.2.0.

@post-factum Yes, that's what I mean. Although I think I would be even stricter about the versions. Asterisk has a habit of changing significant things in point releases too. I would suggest depends=('asterisk<17.3.0'). Hopefully they wont' break anything in patch versions! But before you do, maybe make sure it actually works with 17.2 as well since I haven't tested it yet.

Do you mean something like depends=('asterisk<18.0.0') for current revision?

This package should probably specify an upper version bound for what asterisk version it supports. Since it routinely falls behind the latest asterisk, people that use it should be warned when updating asterisk that this well need to be updated first. That way they can decide to hold off until g729 is updated if they require that for production.

I have no idea if it works on armv7h.

Any reason why this would not also work with armv7h architecture? At the moment it is limited to x86_64.
