Yes I think is a good idea to wait for the stable. The more I test this the more I think it is worth waiting for that. Though, to be honest, the current stable version is as less stable than this beta. This 1.0 works better than 0.8.10 from my tests. Creating a BETA AUR package could be an ideal solution ;).

Unfortunately the AppImage didn't work for me and other people, see https://github.com/beakerbrowser/beaker/issues/1568 upstream.

In addition to changing the pkgver, I also had to update the first sha256sums string from 0f0e9000a8a374b8def44c6f26a2d0981f052b9fe101d30ea0093a35c2f3e755 to 094ae0e6529e67dbc0338f90df09129e024770441789232df64feaccc8b07db2.

ok, I'm updating my local package and thinking I should create new -beta package for this release.

Update: I won't update this package until next stable release. If you want to use beta release, please modify your local PKGBUILD. just changing pkgver to 1.0.0_prerelease.1 will work.

Tested it here the V1 beta as appimage and so far works great. Waiting for an AUR release :)

v1 beta is out (https://beakerbrowser.com/install/), maybe it's worth bumping ?

@quite, I updated dependencies, including removal of electron. I would appreciate if you check I didn't break this package.

I am done with this package. Feel free to pick it up.

What is gconf needed for? I tried building without that, and beaker seems to run fine without it. gconf pulls in a lot of dependencies...

There is no beaker-browser, beakerbrowser package in both official repository and AUR, written in this package's provides array.

But there is beaker in AUR, so could you change it?
