It would be ideal if this PKGBUILD contained "provides=('bitwarden-cli')" so packages depending on bitwarden-cli (like bitwarden-rofi) are satisfied with bitwarden-cli-bin.

@fenze: Hey, are you able to maintain this package still? If not, could I take over?

EDIT: just realized that the PKGBUILD will still pull the latest CLI tag, but I guess bumping the package version number would help for those who use AUR helpers to handle automatically rebuilding AUR packages on updates.

@fenze: any chance you can get this updated for us ? Thanks

The difference is that one does not require any additional libraries. Especially nodejs-lts-gallium

I tend to avoid unnecessary dev/make packages on my system. Hence why I am using a CI tool to build my packages and install them from a custom repo.

@zagg Not sure about the exact differences between this AUR package and bitwarden-cli from community. But that works just fine. Perhaps you can give it a try.

I feel like the pkver script is not working anymore.
Could you please fix it and update the PKGBUILD ?
Some like:

curl -s "https://api.github.com/repos/bitwarden/clients/releases" | grep '"tag_name"' | cut -d : -f 2 | grep -Eo '".+"' | grep -P "cli-v\K([0-9]+.[0-9]+.[0-9]+)"

Hey, I updated the PKGBUILD to pull from https://github.com/bitwarden/clients instead, as they have decided to consolidate all their clients into one repo.

Here's the updated PKGBUILD: https://gist.github.com/jabashque/145857dc42101a919323115e847f21e2

I got confused, that's why I asked. After seeing https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/74175 things started to come togehter. Thanks for your response.

It is only binary without any dependencies
