On a fresh Arch Linux instance with base-devel installed, the installation reports:

Creating group bitwarden with gid 976.
Creating user bitwarden (bitwarden user) with uid 976 and gid 976.

Two problems:

  1. A dependency on inetutils is missing. inetutils contains the 'hostname' command, which is not part of base-devel.
  2. If docker is a dependency, it cannot be assumed that it is running during installation. This is especially true if Docker is installed as a dependency.

Workarounds until a new package maintainer can update PKGBUILD:

  1. Install package inetutils manually, before installing bitwarden-server.
  2. Install package docker and start the daemon manually, before installing bitwarden-server.

I'm currently working on this package, may be there are still some errors.

This is my first AUR package, please be indulgent ;-) Thank you for your remarks / feedback.
