@thotypous Maybe the confusion came from @PedroHLC's comment: Once a stable version [of the open source package] is released, this package [which is a closed sourced beta version] shall move to [the open source version] instead.

I would interpret that in such a way that once the open sourced version has a release, this package should provide the (released) open source version instead of the closed source one.

Now there is an official release of the open source version: https://github.com/B-Lang-org/bsc/releases/tag/2021.07 As such, the comment would suggest that the release is the new base.

Since you are a co-maintainer, is that the current position? It may be helpful to explicitly state the purpose of these (base-)packages.

Why was that package marked as out-of-date? As far as I know, there were no new releases of the closed-source version. Please use the bluespec-git package for the open source version.

The compiler was release as opensource: https://github.com/B-Lang-org/bsc And someone already made a package for it: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/bluespec-git

Once a stable version is released, this package shall move to it instead.
