I tested on my laptop, where I had already some qt5 libraries installed. I used this script to check the dependencies.

done. but unfortunately this is the typical Italian project financed with who knows what money and patched up at best. the linux version should be revised but there is no one behind dealing with it or they are not or do not feel they are getting paid enough.

I made a WINE version of the package that seems is working nicely. that's it. (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/booktab-wine)

@Pezlu sorry but unfortunately I don't know any workaround whatsoever. it does not even work on ubuntu 22.04 with the same behavior: evidently there is a call to something more modern than what is expected and segfault.
surely we are talking about the usual piece of italian software done in a sloppy way by underpaid people and with an ignorant and incompetent managerial framework. If this is the result it would be the case not to show off an elusive linux support ...

Hello, I get an error similar to the one reported by saliz, however I'm not on nVidia. I'm using a Huawei Matebook D laptop with AMD Raven Ridge graphics, using the video-linux driver. Booktab opens and downloads the books' chapters, however when I try to open anything it just shows gray pages for a few seconds then it CTDs.

I've not been using booktab for some time; I know it once worked, but I'm not able to reconstruct which update broke it exactly. I have NOT switched the graphics driver.

Any hint on a possible workaround?
