Hi, I can't buy original DK1201 where I live, or at a very expensive price. Do you know if it will work with DK11201? Do you have a list of supported paper? I have tried with DK11208 but it doesn't work, the power led blink red and nothing happen. Thanks you a lot

Despite the issues with continuous tape, the brpapertoollpr_ql800 application (to add random paper sizes to the ppd) segfaults on the add command and does not a thing. Can anyone of you make it work?

@Matze I can confirm it. The issue simply is that brother's driver for Linux doesn't support it. It is somewhere hidden on brothers download page.

I have just bought the QL800 printer, installed this driver and I am successfully able to print to the sample tape for standard address (29mm x 90.3 mm, paper black on white).

However, I cannot get anything to work with the other sample tape (62mm continuous tape, red and black on white). I suspect this to be generally related to the continuous tape. I have added a custom paper size with sudo brpapertoollpr_ql800 -P ql -n test -w 62 -h 30 and I try to print with lpr -P ql -o PageSize=test template.pdf

Both commands succeed but the printer just goes into error mode (status blinking red).

I have tried several page size options, printing from several applications, nothing worked.

Using the brother-ql, a python command line utility for the printer (https://pypi.org/project/brother-ql/), I was able to print on 62mm tape (so this is not a printer issue).

Can anybody confirm (or deny) problems with continuous tape? Any ideas how to solve this?

@kbabioch I thought maybe you experienced something similar and found a solution…

EDIT: The tick box "enable rasterisation" did the trick.

Don't see how this is related to the package itself. When it works with glabels, it seems that the package is working fine.

I have the problem, when I print pdfs, that they are rotated by 90° and very very small. Printing with glabels works flawlessly.
