You must execute this command before installing package.

curl https://fedoraproject.org/fedora.gpg | gpg --import

Also this repository is maintained at https://github.com/aminvakil/aur.

In case anyone had any suggestions about anything, feel free to raise a PR there.

Hi, I am seeing

==> Validating source_x86_64 files with sha256sums...
    butane-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu ... FAILED

and after fixing this in my local PKGBUILD I am seeing

==> Verifying source file signatures with gpg...
    butane-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu ... FAILED (the public key 6A51BBABBA3D5467B6171221809A8D7CEB10B464 is not trusted)
==> ERROR: One or more PGP signatures could not be verified!

although I ran the gpg import beforehand.

@aminvakil you are right! After import of the new gpg-key the build was without any error. Maybe there was an error on the first download of the binarys. Sorry for the false alarm and thanks for checking!

@mimhof weird, i checked again now and sha256sum was right.

Are you sure this is not a problem with gpg keys? This new release is using Fedora 38 GPG key.

Make sure you've executed this command prior to makepkg:

curl https://getfedora.org/static/fedora.gpg | gpg --import

I have errors building the new package because of wrong sha256 checksums (x86_64).

I ended up checking out and building the package myself, and that actually worked without problems.

Also it's getting tested every night to make sure it's getting built correctly and it passed last night too (4 hours ago).

The only difference I see is your AUR helper, please try makepkg manually and see if you can reproduce the problem.
