In response to the deletion request:

The package now builds to /opt which is within the scope of the guidelines
The source is now tied to a release so the -git suffix shouldn't be required.
There were never active interactive elements, The function call was commented
I removed any comments (for whatever reason?)
whether or not an individual user thinks this is helpful is simply not relevant, merely that more than a few people will If you don't like it don't use it.
