This package builds a specific version of the upstream package. Currently the latest version 0.2 does not work so it builds master with a verified SHA checksum because that version does work. Upstream has been like this since 2015 and upstream has not responded to requests to issue a new version tag. If this happens then this package will be updated to reflect that. This is a temporary, though long-lived, state.
