Well, it seems that this package in not maintened any more… I installed it, however, but it doesn’t launch. I would like to apologize for my unnecessarily aggressive and harsh comment. I stumbled on a lot of badly packaged software recently and you were the unfortunate victim.

Once again, I would like to apologize.

That said, if the debian package is published like that, I believe this should be reported upstream too. Unzipping an archive from inside a package is quite dangerous and useless (since the package is already compressed).

Well... that's an unexpected end for my day...

The thing is, you can open the debian package and see for yourself: it's all in there. I generated this package using debtap originally, so it copied all the shit made in the debian package.

Today I tried to fix the main issues, that is the file tracking issues.

namcap still reports issues regarding the binary files in /opt, but at least they are now known files for pacman. If anyone wants to dig more into it, feel free to contribute.

Hello, may I ask what does the cesium-desktop-deb.install do ? Why does it copy files to /opt and /usr/bin without letting the package manager track them ?

pacman -Ql does not report all installed files.

Doesn't it cause the issue reported in this comment ?

I used the debian package v1.6.7 from https://github.com/duniter/cesium/releases/ to create an aur package.

But it is still not able to start:
