If you're still using this today, you will probably need to install libxcrypt-compat, too.

4.13.3 is the last version of DK released by Chef/Progress. It is EOL according to Chef's supported versions page: https://docs.chef.io/versions/#end-of-life-eol-products

No further updates to this package will be made.

Is chef-dk still used? It seems like chef-workstation is the proper AUR package for the chef development kit now. Is there a reason to keep chef-dk around independently of chef-workstation?

I'd be happy to help maintain this package to keep it up-to-date with the monthly releases.

@max-k Thanks for the tip. I didn't know about this and can't find documentation for it.

I just ran through builds with and without !strip for chef-dk and chef-workstation. For both of them it saves a small amount of time but the resulting package is 20 MB larger, and I think the size is more important so I'm going to keep the stripping step.

Hi,

Could you add the following line to your package ?

options=( !strip )

It will drastically reduce build time without changing anything.

Thank you.
