I think webkit2gtk should be a make dependency, but I am not sure.

This one now builds the GTK3 variant of claws mail (pkgver() for current invocation returns 4.1.1.r1.g1e3b95e1d; version 4.x is GTK3 build. For GTK2 build, a specific git branch needs to be checked out.) Please update dependencies accordingly.

Also, there is a claws-mail-gtk3-git package as well in the AUR. So there is one duplicate around.

I build claws-mail-git 3.16.0.r24.g93eaaa941-1 against enchant 2.2.1-1 and spell checking doesn't work anymore, while e.g. spell checking for

[rocketmouse@archlinux aur]$ pacman -Q evolution

evolution 3.26.4-2

still works.

I don't have time to write a bug report at the upstream bug tracker, but will forward it to the claws mailing list.

Perhaps the culprit is the same as for Xed:

Hi, building Claws 3.15.0.r17.g2736853ff fails. A workaround is commenting out the related prepare lines. --enable-appdata is an unrecognized option, so you could remove it next time you edit the PKGBUILD

flex belongs to base-devel group and is expected to be installed.
