This is a screen-locking screensaver built out of xdotool, xinput, and compiz.

See it in action.

To stop the spinning cube, flick your mouse a little.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON:

First, the script /usr/bin/compiz-cube-screensaver makes an assumption, on line 6, that your mouse has xinput id "12". You should really check that out first, because if it's wrong you will be unable to stop your spinning cube.

Second, the "screen locking" done here is not high-security: it uses xinput to disable most input devices (except for one 'real' pointer and xdotool's virtual pointer), but this is not impenetrable--in theory someone could find a way to access the desktop.
