@jwhickma what is this /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/gschemas.compiled.S801W1 on your system? It is owned by any package?

Fwiw, I get this during package(), but otherwise finished, installs, and runs fine:

-- Compiling GSettings schemas
Failed to create file “/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/gschemas.compiled.S801W1”: Permission denied

The .../schemas/ dir is 755 root:root, btw. :-)

@deemon: Should be fixed by e726e89 in libcpuid-git.

why does installing this try to replace my perfectly working libcpuid with libcpuid-git?? And when it does try to do that, it fails anyway with:

==> Making package: cpu-x-git 4.4.0.r62.g858a949-2 (T 04 okt   2022 03:40:39)
==> Checking runtime dependencies...
==> Missing dependencies:
  -> libcpuid>=0.6.0
==> Checking buildtime dependencies...
==> ERROR: Could not resolve all dependencies.
 -> error making: cpu-x-git

... although it just did install: Packages (1) libcpuid-git-2:0.6.0.r6.gf8f73a2-1

@MarsSeed: Sorry, it was because of this comment. I will revert the commit.

Hi,

Why are you making 'ocl-icd' hardcoded instead of depending on the generic 'opencl-icd-loader' interface?

@Xorg: Whoa, I didn't SPAM anyone. I reported the same issue with two different packages - cpu-x and cpu-x-git. In any case, no offense was intended and I deleted the comment from cpu-x. I also submitted a bug report as you requested. Please let me know if you need any more information.

UnicornDarkness commented on 2019-09-13 19:33 (UTC)

@muncrief: Please report the bug by opening a new issue on GitHub here (I need more information to fix that): https://github.com/X0rg/CPU-X/issues/new?template=bug_report.md BTW, don't spam me with the same message twice.

This crashes if you're using vfio for a passthrough KVM GPU.

It outputs "Your GPU driver is unknown: ../../../../../../bus/pci/drivers/vfio-pci", and then segfaults.

Would it be possible for the authors to ignore vfio?

@Xorg: thank you; now cower --update doesn't complain anymore
