Would it be possible to compile it in a way so it reports correct version instead of dev when doing
docker-compose-cli version?EDIT: Thank you, just got an update and it works flawlessly!

Yeah, the trickery the script is doing is not really applicable for a package.

Hey t-8ch,
Why exactly do you do that sed replacement? In official docs they actually move docker to com.docker.cli and install this new one as docker. Is it to avoid docker package from overwriting it?
EDIT: Oh, I see, you just use separate executable for that and not actually how they wanted it to be used. I guess it's all good. I was just looking at their install script https://raw.githubusercontent.com/docker/compose-cli/main/scripts/install/install_linux.sh
