Adopted. Shifted "source" to match "url" 1) The kiwanami repo is the original. (tumashu repo is a fork from kiwanami) 2) The 'cfw:open-calendar-buffer' instructions from the .install file do NOT work with the tumashu repo build. (tumashu removed all 'cfw:'- prefixed commands) 3) It is unclear why this was shifted to pulling from the tumashu repo

If you get an issue with Markdown.pl being not found, this is probably because it is not in your path (first time you install a vendor module). Check this with $ echo "$PATH" You can either update your PATH temporarily, or simply relog to your user session: /etc/profile.d/perlbin.sh will add /usr/bin/vendor_perl if it exists.
