I might disagree with your interpretation of the package naming when there are multiple "extensions" involved. -asan is not there for no reason. Most packages when they build debug packages are xxxx-debug. So if it were a git package producing debug packages it'd be xxxx-git-debug. As such it's not possible to spin multiple builds of the same source with different config within the same PKGBUILD (I tried). To produce an asan debug package I had to set up whole new aur pkgs and I followed the naming scheme that would be expected of debug packages. So as such by naming it xxxx-git-asan I'm adhering to the debug extension standard primarily and secondarily the -git naming convention, but the resulting binary package names end up being in the naming convention you'd expect if I could build asan packages from the same xxxx-git PKGBUILD
