@simona What architecture are you building on? And are you on Arch, or a derivative?

simona commented on 2024-05-03 14:12 (UTC)

coan't find libgit2.so=1.7-64

@melvilli You flagged the package out-of-date. Thank you for your concern.

VCS packages like the -git ones don't have their pkgver bumped unless the package doesn't build anymore and changes are required to get it to build. This is common across the AUR.

AUR helpers also don't say there's an update available for a package unless the installed version is lower than the version on the AUR.

I built this just now, and it built 0.18.8.r0.gd0c6fef-1 for me. That's a higher version and should not trigger an "update available". Also, if you vercmp 0.18.8.r0.gd0c6fef-1 0.15.0.r3.g32567d0-2 the output will be 1, which means the first argument is greater than the second argument.

Please use a different AUR helper if your current one is misbehaving.

@jakedane You seem to have been trying to build it right between the time I pushed an erroneous commit and a fix. Apologies haha.

Ignore previous comment; it works now.

Retrieving sources for the update today fails with:

fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/eza-community/eza/': Recv failure: Connection reset by peer

You are now a co-maintainer. Sorry about being late ☺

Alternatively, add me as (co-)maintainer and I'll take care of it. I maintain eza.
