Yeah...well, when things get "goofy" with the updates I have used fldigi-git instead.

Sigh, fldigi gets updated so quickly and the author removes older versions too quickly. 4.2.03 is already out and w1hkj removed 4.2.02 source so that broke the AUR. Bummer!

Actually by upgrading hamlib4 ALL is fixed now...

As for "strong justification"; a CAREFUL perusal of the various packages and comments over the years should explain everything. I've attempted to explain this, but I guess I have failed. SRI OM

Which architecture fail? hamlib can use either hamlib or hamlib-git since both are using provides. Just install -git before or print a message in case of failure to install hamlib-git with fldigi. It is not a good practice to avoid a main package without a strong justification

flxmlrpc: few times ago I read a message from David that suggests to use a single library from https://sourceforge.net/p/fldigi/flxmlrpc/ci/master/tree/ to maintain coherency. Maybe, he changes from time to time the code without a release.

Anyway, thank you to maintain those software.

I test on several installations (and architectures when appropriate) with all of my PKGBUILDs. ONE of those DID require the newest version of hamlib (hamlib-git) for successful compilation. Since ALL of my test installations seemed to be fine with hamlib-git; I made the change. YOU seem to know more than the average user, so please feel free to "edit" the PKGBUILD to suit your desires when you use it.

As for the flxmlrpc stuff...that seems to change (back and forth) with the weather over the years, so I am writing the PKGBUILD to allow for easy manipulation going forward.

Thanks for your interest and VERY 73 om !

--with-flxmlrpc is not needed anymore. why are you requiring hamlib-git? it works fine also with hamlib (01/2023)

v4.1.21 is not available anymore, now there's v4.1.22...

Well..20-1 had a work around for flxmprpc being stuck at 0.1.4.... BUT (drum roll please), while waiting on Dave to deal with his various repos, I decided to get flxmlrpc up to 1.0.1 (which I did by going to Dave's upstream repo at Sourceforge...) TADA...this package is now up-tp-date as well...
