Upstream reverted the commit, builds again.

Confirmed, the missing symbol was added in java 16.

I've opened https://sourceforge.net/p/freecol/bugs/3297/ .

I can change the PKGBUILD to use java17 or revert that commit, but prefer to wait a few days to see how freecol devs respond.

looks like java-runtime-common is required by all official openjdk packages. using "archlinux-java get" and aborting if java-8-* is not the default seems doable. Nice to see another archuser interested in freecol-git .

This package won't compile if default environment is openjdk7 (even though jdk8 might be installed). Not sure what is the right way to check for this in PKGBUILD.
