I get a conflict when updating

looking for conflicting packages...
:: freetype2 and freetype2-infinality are in conflict. Remove freetype2-infinality? [y/N]

As @graysky said, maybe the PKGBUILD needs be updated.

It seems that harfbuzz now depends on freetype2, and thus I get a conflict when updating:

:: freetype2 and freetype2-infinality are in conflict

Not sure what the solution is for this case.

graysky commented on 2016-05-08 13:27

Note that libbluray now requires libfreetype.so so please mirror [extra]/freetype2's PKGBUILD and add the following:

provides=('libfreetype.so')

Weird. Works for me.

File "infinality-settings.sh" does not pass sha1sums validity check.

Mentioning a package that doesn't exist should be treated as a bug as it is wrong information that is confusing to users.

@Ralf_Mardorf
I changed this to lib32-freetype2-infinality (removed "ultimate" at the end). Although the package does not exist, I think someone should create it. I am on arm. So I cannot test that. Some one could just take these PKGBUILDS:

For your information, infinality.install mentions lib32-freetype2-infinality-ultimate, but no package with this name is available.

mareex commented on 2016-02-16 18:08

I've adopted this pkg because it has been orphan for a while now. If someone wants to have it just leave a comment.

Det commented on 2016-02-12 16:07

The package is orphan. Nobody wants to take it away?

It's filled with votes.
