Hi dpirate ! I just updated the PKGBUILD to gopherus v1.2.2. I can take over as maintainer for this package if you don't want to continue maintaining this package (I understand your reasons). Sorry it took so long. I have had some IRL things that have been keeping me busy lately.

Hi,
SDL2 support got removed because the author is focusing on DOS going forward. The SDL2 support is what made gopherus unique on Linux. I don't see the point in maintaining this for Linux any longer as there are many other better text mode and graphical gopher clients. I've added you as a co-maintainer if you want to apply your modifications to keep it working.

This PKGBUILD is currently out of date because version 1.2.2 got released. Here is an updated PKGBUILD: https://paste.opensuse.org/pastes/a14fe85e32ba
I read Gopherus v1.2.2 changelog and it seems that SDL2 support got removed. The patch that fixes ncurses includes is also not needed anymore in v1.2.2
