Between this and blivet-gui, I pinged you six times across a period of sixteen months.

I'm sorry, but how many pings would be enough? I can't think of any way to interpret "negligence" to not fit for this situation.

When 'suggestions' to do something seem to have no effect, I do provide working code directly.

In particular since my last stance on this was 'I do not record your issue'.

I urge you to assume if I haven't replied to one of these comments is because they were lost on the way and please just ping again.

@MarsSeed

hawkey is needed to build blivet, that's how I ended up maintaining it.

I am quite pro-active.

I don't think you have got my point about being dead.

I do not think to have been negligent in my maintainership work in any way, given constraints.

You're free to email to learn which they are, otherwise I urge you to assume if I haven't replied to one of these comments is because they were lost on the way and please just ping again.

Or actually in case of hawkey, it should be deleted. Has been discontinued by upstream since 2017, and its readme says it has been merged into libhif (which then became libdnf).

Maybe not dead, but definitely a negligent maintainer for the last 1+ year.

So morally you have lost your basis for complaining about people trying to nudge you to take action even by flagging your long-broken packages. Also submitting orphan requests are very much warranted in these cases.

As I've said elsewhere, you are supposed to check if tallero is dead.

Merry Christmas.

@tallero That's not what the "Flag package out-of-date" feature is for. It says clearly on that page's form that it is not to be used for bug reports.

MarsSeed commented on 2023-12-24 03:43 (UTC)

@tallero, you are supposed to read user comments submitted for your packages. In addition, you are supposed to fix your broken packages and keep them in working order. You should also strive to address user feedback, especially with respect to newly emerging issues.

Or alternatively you shall disown the packages you don't maintain, or submit a deletion request for those that are beyond repair and unneeded.

@cybershadow: do you expect me to read your comment without a opening an out-of date report?
