Thank you as always, your help is very much appreciated. For interfaces there are also Lumin and Linn. HQPDcontrol is nice, but as far as I remember it only works with local files, not my Qobuz subscription.

You can remove both and reinstall.

For hqplayer-embedded you must downgrade these libraries:

downgrade gupnp gupnp-dlna gupnp-igd rygel Right versions are: gssdp 1.4.0.1-1 gupnp 1:1.4.3-1 gupnp-dlna 0.12.0-1 gupnp-igd 1.2.0-2 rygel 1:0.40.4-1

Maybe hqplayer-client will not work, see comments for the package hqplayer5

Anyway you can use better Interfaces for hqplayer-embedded: 1) HQPDcontrol (android) 2) BubbleUPnP (android) 3) Mconnect (android, iOS) 4) Jriver, Roon or all UPnP control points

Sigh, I seem to have messed things up. I got caught up trying to version dependencies for hqplayer-client, and now even after uninstalling client and reinstalling embedded, embedded keeps trying to start unsuccessfully (that is, when I check status I see that the restart counter has incremented). I am sure you're quite busy, but if you have the time I would appreciate help.

I have cleared my ignore upgrade list, and have nothing downgraded at the moment.

Thank you very much. I was a bit busy with work a while ago. Last night, I reinstalled it according to your instructions, and now hqp is running normally

How did you start hqplayer-embedded? With systemd user service or root?

Did you downgrade gssdp gupnp gupnp-dlna gupnp-igd rygel ?

gssdp 1.4.0.1-1 gupnp 1:1.4.3-1 gupnp-dlna 0.12.0-1 gupnp-igd 1.2.0-2 rygel 1:0.40.4-1

You can use eventually the downgrade application:

downgrade gupnp gupnp-dlna gupnp-igd rygel

If you are in the same network 192.168.3.x and still cannot connect, please stop systemd service of hqplayer-embedded and type on terminal/console:

hqplayerd

Send here the output

Note: if by chance you have installed the package libsgllnx, remove it and reinstall hqplayer-embedded

All HQPlayer packages have been updated.

Removed conflicts

blackhole commented on 2023-03-31 01:33 (UTC)

The reason is that both are using the library libsgllnx64-2.29.02.so (in the original package installed in a sub-directory of /opt)

Normally a library should be a different package and I didn't want to add the new directory to PATH.

So I decided to install it in /usr/lib

I will try to find a solution to this.
