I adopted this to update python packaging and dependencies, and noticed rtts/ialauncher#11 makes this package unusable.

Update: Added a patch to use XDG_CACHE_HOME, so this package should be usable now.

Patch could be modified to save to XDG_DATA_HOME. Would this be preferred? Does anyone even use this package?

@xiota sorry for the delay, hopefully it'll build now. I haven't used that in years so I've disowned it.

@yochananmarqos done thank you for the clear suggestions! I think I wanted to get back to it a bit later and then completely forgot about it.

Feel free to ask for maintainership if you wish to.

Please use a pkgver() array. See VCS package guidelines.

If there are no tags then use number of revisions since beginning of the history:

pkgver() {
  cd ialauncher
  printf "r%s.%s" "$(git rev-list --count HEAD)" "$(git rev-parse --short HEAD)"
}
r45.291048f

You're missing the --optimize=1 --skip-build flags in the package() array. See Python package guidelines.

python-jinja should be a dependency or it fails to launch.
